The monodon killifish is a small fish with a spindle-shaped body and a flat back. The body color is light yellowish brown, with four dark, wide vertical stripes on the body. The blue tail fin is spike-shaped in the center with narrow red stripes. The front part of the male's dorsal fin is yellow, the front part of the anal fin is black, the back part is gray, and the eyes are blue. The body color of the female fish is similar to that of the male fish, but the fins are lighter in color. It likes fish tanks with dense aquatic plants and has a very gentle temperament. It can be kept together with other small and gentle fish species, or only fish of the same species can be kept.
