The Jingzhao tasseled hair spider has negative phototaxis, and it lies dormant during the day and emerges at night. It likes to prey on insects of the order Orthoptera and cockroaches of the order Blattida. Its carapace is reddish-brown, densely covered with gray-white fine hairs, and has longer thick bristles on the edges. The abdomen is light yellowish brown, with sparse brown long hairs and dense light yellowish brown short fine hairs.
