As a common entry-level arboreal scorpion in the pet market, the Florida bark scorpion is agile and good at climbing, adding a wild and primitive atmosphere to rainforest terrariums or arboreal enclosures, and serving both ornamental purposes and helping to control small insects. It possesses a mild neurotoxin that poses no serious threat to humans.
