Danish bluebell/double-flowered Monroe ( Campanula x haylogensis ' Blue Wonder ' )
Double Monroe has more petals than ordinary bellflowers. Ordinary bellflowers only have one layer of petals and the buds are very small, while double bellflowers have five layers of petals when they are open. Stacked like little roses.
The purple double bellflower looks extremely delicate and elegant. The dreamy purple petals are surrounded by layers of white stamens. They are shy and charming when in bud, but noble and beautiful when in full bloom.
