Black Ruby Crucian Carp: When the male fish is in estrus, the rear part of its body turns black, making it particularly eye-catching in the emerald green aquatic plant tank. Usually there are three obvious black horizontal bands on the body and the body color is lighter.
Since most of the native land in Sri Lanka has been developed into cultivated land, wild individuals are endangered and are banned from export. Currently, all the individuals circulating in the market are artificially bred individuals.
