Buddha Belly Bamboo, also known as Belly Bamboo, Buddha Bamboo, Luohan Bamboo, Gourd Bamboo, etc., is a clump-forming bamboo plant belonging to the genus Bambusa in the grass family (Poaceae). It is native to South China, such as Guangdong, and is now cultivated in various parts of Southern China, as well as Malaysia in Asia and the Americas.
It prefers sunlight, but needs shade during high summer temperatures. For garden soil, pay attention to soil compaction.
Note: The "Buddha belly" part of small Buddha Belly Bamboo plants may not yet be formed or may be inconspicuous, with the overall plant being slender.
It is normal for some bamboo leaves to be yellow or have black spots; please do not place an order if you mind this!
Bamboo leaves may fall off due to collision during packaging and transportation. As long as the bamboo roots are healthy, new leaves will grow back later.
