Silverback fern (Aleuritopteris argentea)
Silverback fern is found in Nepal, Myanmar, northern India, Russia (Siberia), Mongolia, Korea, Japan and China.
Silver-backed fern likes sun but tolerates shade, is cold-tolerant and drought-tolerant. It likes to grow in loose calcareous soil, and can also grow in neutral or slightly acidic soil. It is also tolerant of semi-shade and extremely drought-tolerant. The leaves will bend when there is no rain for a long time, and they will stretch when they are slightly moist. However, strong sunlight is required in northern China, and it can also adapt to the southerly and slightly shady slopes.
