Aeonium canariense is an elegant species of the genus Aeonium in the Crassulaceae family, known for its large rosette shape and layered, incense burner-like leaf arrangement. Its leaves are broad, thick, and spoon-shaped, covered with fine hairs. For soil, choose loose, well-draining soil; beginners can opt for a gritty mix. Regarding watering, water more frequently in autumn, winter, and spring, but reduce watering during its summer dormancy. For light, opt for partial shade and diffused light. In summer, place it in a cool, well-ventilated area, avoiding direct sun exposure and rain. Direct sun can scorch the leaves, while rain can lead to leaf drop, root rot, and black rot.
