His father, Yozan, was a bonsai pot craftsman and one of Tokoname's leading glaze masters. His products mainly consist of small to medium-sized glazed items up to about 50cm. Round pots are typically made on a potter's wheel, while other bonsai pots are made with molds. Molds are used to create a thick form, which is then re-carved by hand. His diverse range includes cat-foot designs, painted pots, and mud-colored pots, with production ranging from unique, one-off pieces to mass-produced items.
