Albacore (Opsariichthys evolans)

They require high dissolved oxygen and a large tank. The tank bottom should be covered with dark fine sand. These fish are jumpers, so the tank must be covered. As they are riverine fish, a wave-making system should be used if conditions permit, to simulate their natural habitat. Their habits and appearance are quite similar to those of the Broad-finned Dace.

Long-finned Dace usually start to change color around 6 months of age due to their vigorous appetite and rapid growth. Adult Long-finned Dace can reach over 20 cm in length once mature and will display vibrant colors such as sapphire blue. In suitable environments, such as clear water, moderate water flow, appropriate landscaping, and a dark background, the coloration of Long-finned Dace will be even better. Additionally, during rearing, it is necessary to provide sufficient food and nutrition to support their growth and coloration.
