Although it has 8 single eyes, its vision is weak, especially during the day. When moving alone, they will only take detours when their tentacles touch each other, avoiding each other. On a clear and windless night, their peak activity is between 20 and 23 o'clock. The characteristics of its activities are more activities at night and less activities during the day; more activities when the temperature is higher than 25°C and less daily activity between 10 and 15°C; less activity or even stop activity below 10°C; the weather is sultry and there is more activity at night after rain. There is less activity at night when the temperature is low; there is more activity at night with no wind or gentle breeze; there is less activity at night when there is strong wind (wind force above Level 6); there is more activity at night after rain and less activity at night on rainy day. It can be seen that the frequency of centipede activities is closely related to meteorological factors such as temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, rainfall, and light intensity. Therefore, when artificially breeding centipedes, you must pay attention to the impact of the above meteorological factors on their lives. At the same time, centipedes have a strong ability to drill holes, so centipedes can smoothly drill through holes in rocks, ridges, etc., and can inhabit these gaps.
