This fish is distributed in the Ayeyarwady River basin in northern Myanmar, inhabiting waters with temperatures of 22-28°C, a pH value of 6.5-7.5, and a hardness of KH 9-12. It is characterized by its docile nature and active behavior, and it is an omnivorous fish.
