[Zelkova Bonsai] The flowering period is around April to May in spring, with small pale yellow-green flowers blooming only on the current year's branches. It is monoecious; male flowers cluster in the leaf axils at the base of the current year's branches, while female flowers grow singly in the leaf axils at the upper part of new branches. The fruits ripen around October and are dispersed by wind after breaking off with the branch.
