Bonsai Pot: Tani Arashiyama Small Rectangular Pot, Approx. 11.5cm Long, Polychrome, Dragon Motif, for Display, As Is, New. Real name: Hiroyuki Tani. His love for bonsai led him to create small pots. In 1979, he and six friends built a communal kiln, naming it "Raku Kiln". His potter's name "Raku Kiln" might be more widely known. In 1985, he received the Chairman's Award at the National Amateur Small Pot Artists Exhibition, the Special Encouragement Award at the 2nd BONSAI Container Exhibition, and the Encouragement Award at the 1st Contemporary Small Pot Artists Exhibition. Although he produced few works due to his busy schedule, he has been actively engaged in pottery since returning to his hometown.
