Bonsai pot, Yozan Kiln, Eimei, small size, approx. 10cm long, round pot, glazed, as-is, new. Real name: Hideaki Shimizu. His father, Yozan, was a bonsai potter and one of Tokoname's leading glaze masters. Products are mainly small and medium-sized glazed items up to about 50cm. Round pots are basically made on a potter's wheel, and other bonsai pots are made with molds. Molds are made thick and then re-carved by hand. He creates a wide variety of pieces, including cat-leg designs, painted pots, and mud-colored pots, with some being closer to one-off creations and others being mass-produced.
