Bonsai Pot Gekka, Small, Approximately 15.8cm Long, Rectangular Pot, Sometsuke Dragon Design, With Original Box, With Original Cloth, New Item. Real name: Ito Yasutoshi. The 4th generation of Tankyo-gama kiln. Started making sometsuke pots around 1969. He has received numerous awards, including the Best Artist Award at various exhibitions, the Juseki-sha Award, and the Kindai Shuppansha Award, for his elegant brushwork in sometsuke, aka-e, and iro-e. His painting style is heavily influenced by Yusen; he gradually shifted from a detailed early style to a bolder, more simplified brushwork, and his use of color also changed. His clean brushwork is unique to Gekka. He mostly uses a carving method that doesn't rely on molds.
