Bonsai Pot, Tokoname Yozan Kiln, Hideaki, Small Pot, Long Side approx. 9.5cm, Oval Pot, Outer Rim, Lapis Lazuli Glaze, New, Multiple Items. Real name: Hideaki Shimizu. His father, Yozan, was a potter of bonsai containers and one of Tokoname's leading glaze masters. His products mainly consist of small and medium-sized glazed items up to about 50cm; basically, round pots are made on a potter's wheel, while other bonsai containers are made using molds. Molds are made thickly and then re-carved by hand. He produces a variety of items, such as pots with claw feet, painted pots, and mud-colored pots, ranging from unique, almost one-of-a-kind pieces to mass-produced items.
