Opened Shibakatsu-en kiln in 1977. Previously, he mainly used press molding, but in recent years, he has shifted to handmade pieces using a combination of slab building and press molding. He produces a wide range of pots, from Tokoname red clay, Tokoname purple clay, and other unglazed pots to glazed pots, with a rich variety of colors and shapes.
