Previously, press molding was the primary method, but in recent years, the kiln has transitioned to mainly handmade pieces using tatara and press molding. Shibakatsu produces a wide range of pots, from Tokoname red clay, Tokoname purple clay, and gray clay pots to glazed pots, with a rich variety of colors and shapes.
