Bonsai Pot Tokoname Ikko Zoki by Kazuhiro Watanabe Small, approx. 17.8cm long, rectangular pot with rim, cut corners, cloud feet, unglazed (doromono), new. Current stock. Real name: Kazuhiro Watanabe. After training under his father, Shōzan Watanabe, he researched glazes and began firing small bonsai pots around 1978. He mainly produces glazed pots and water basins, primarily using slab construction. His glazes include Oribe, Junyu, white Kouchi, yellow Kouchi, and Ruri glazes, with a wide variety of intermediate colors as well. He is a Tokoname bonsai artist who creates pots and water basins of various sizes, from small to large, in both unglazed and glazed styles. The artist's name "Kazuhiro" is pronounced "kazuhiro," but is commonly read as "Ikko."
