Brown Sesarmid Crab (Chiromantes dehaani)
The General Crab (Toothless Mantis Crab) is not shameless. "Toothless" refers to the fact that there are no serrated protrusions on the left and right sides of the carapace near the eyes (the front edge). Generally, burrows live on the mud banks of offshore freshwater rivers or in coastal swamps. They can be found on the edges of swamps, field stalks, and drainage ditches. They usually hide among rocks or dig holes in vertical walls. They are active in the morning, dusk or night. Sometimes they sneak into the fields and cut off the seedlings with their large claws, so they are known as the "rice field killer crabs".
