Getsuko, sometsuke dragon-patterned mokko鉢 (melon-shaped pot) with an outer rim, for ornamental bonsai. This is a new, wonderful painted pot. Real name: Ito Yasutoshi, the fourth generation of the Tankyo Kiln. He began making sometsuke pots around 1969. His sometsuke, aka-e (red painting), and iro-e (polychrome painting), characterized by their elegant brushwork, have received high acclaim and numerous awards at various exhibitions, including the Best Artist Award, Juseki-sha Award, and Kindai Shuppan-sha Award. His painting style is heavily influenced by Yusen. Starting from an early meticulous style with fine lines, he gradually transitioned to a more simplified style with thicker lines, and his use of color also evolved.
