This is an exquisite piece with delicate embossing. Tani Arashiyama (real name Hiroyuki Tani) developed a passion for bonsai and began creating small pots. In 1979, he and six friends built a communal kiln, naming it Rokuraku Kiln. The kiln's name, Rokuraku Kiln, might be more widely known than his personal name. In 1985, he received the Chairman's Award at the National Amateur Small Pot Artists Exhibition, the Special Encouragement Award at the 2nd BONSAI Vessel Exhibition, and the Encouragement Award at the 1st Contemporary Small Pot Artists Exhibition. Although prolific due to his busy schedule, he has been actively engaged in pottery since returning to his hometown.
