Bonsai Pot: Yozan-gama, Hideaki. Small, approx. 15.2cm long, rectangular, chamfered, green glazed. Used pot, current stock. Real name: Hideaki Shimizu. His father, Yozan, was a bonsai pot craftsman and one of Tokoname's leading glaze masters. His products are mainly small and medium-sized glazed items up to about 50cm, with round pots primarily made on a potter's wheel and other bonsai pots made using molds. Molds are thickly cast and then re-carved by hand. He produces a wide variety of items such as cat-leg pots, painted pots, and clay-colored pots, ranging from unique one-off pieces to mass-produced items.
