Australian Red Snails are freshwater snails of the subclass Pulmonata, order Basommatophora, and are ornamental aquatic animals. Their shells are thin and translucent, bright red with black tips, measuring 1.0-3.3 cm in length. Their antennae are slender, and they contain air bubbles for buoyancy regulation. Their shells are sinistral, making them a rare type of snail. They are omnivorous, primarily feeding on plant matter. For indoor rearing, various vegetables and wild plants can be fed, with a preference for mugwort leaves, followed by bok choy leaves, pea shoots, shepherd's purse, spinach, goji leaves, duckweed, and also bamboo leaves, Chinese cabbage, and cabbage leaves. This species is native to freshwater environments in Australia, tolerates water temperatures of 6-34℃, prefers neutral to slightly alkaline water, and is tolerant of low oxygen levels. They are hermaphroditic, with spring being the main spawning season, and their reproductive capacity is close to that of apple snails.

Care recommendations:
