The red-bellied piranha is a type of piranha (Piranha) found in the Amazon River in South America.

The Amazonian red-bellied piranha is mainly distributed in the rivers from the east of the Andes to the Brazilian plains. In addition to the Amazon River, the Cuiabá River and Orinoco River are also major habitats. It is currently found in the Amazon River basin in South America, distributed in Argentina and Brazil.
