Land Crab ( Cardisoma guanhumi )

The spiny crab, also known as the blue land crab, is a land crab found in tropical and subtropical estuaries and other waters along the Atlantic coast of the Americas, from Brazil and Colombia, through the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico, to the Bahamas , north to Princess Place Preserve and Bermuda on the Palm Coast of Ponce Inlet, Florida. The species' color ranges from dark blue to brown or light gray.

The crab is an omnivore, collecting and eating leaves and fruits near its burrows, as well as insects and carrion.
