Earthworm - Live Food/Bait (Eisenia fetida)
According to measurements, earthworms contain crude protein as high as 50% to 80%, and are rich in amino acids. Among them, the arginine content is twice that of peanuts, and the tryptophan content is seven times that of beef. In addition, earthworms also contain abundant trace elements and various vitamins.
Earthworms can also be used for planting. The various enzymes in earthworms give them the special ability to transform and modify organic matter, and to cause a certain degree of decomposition of soil minerals, converting them into readily available compounds for plants, such as ammonia, carbonic acid, urea, uric acid, and readily available phosphorus and potassium mineral nutrients. Earthworm castings, rich in soluble nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, can significantly improve soil fertility.
Earthworms can loosen soil, improve aggregate structure, enhance soil pH and fertility, promote the activity of nitrifying bacteria in the soil, maintain soil moisture, and increase crop yields.
Storage method:
Earthworms are sensitive to heat and should be kept away from direct sunlight.
Place vegetable leaves, fruit peels, etc., as food in the box.
Purchase instructions: Earthworms go into hibernation in winter, conserving energy by reducing activity. As long as the earthworm's body surface is moist and its body is soft, it is normal. This is their overwintering state, and they will recover when the temperature rises. Please do not mistake hibernation for death!
