Asparagus fern (Wenzhu) is native to Southern Africa and is commonly cultivated in Central China, Northwest China, the Yangtze River basin, and various southern regions. It is an elegant choice for bonsai, with a unique charm featuring slender, bamboo-like stems and cloud-like, spreading foliage. It has a graceful form and vibrant vitality. Compact and space-saving, it's easy to care for, requiring only moderate light and water to remain evergreen year-round.
It is suitable for placement in a bright indoor location, with appropriate sunlight exposure in winter. Temperatures below 5℃ will cause frost damage, and growth will cease above 32℃. Asparagus fern prefers shade and humidity; the soil should be kept moist but not waterlogged.
Note: Slight yellowing of leaves is normal and is not a sign of disease or plant problem; it is a normal growth phenomenon.
