Bonsai Pot: Tokoname Shibakatsu, Small, Approx. 14.3cm Long, Rectangular, Unglazed, Japanese Pot, As-is Used Pot. Real name: Katsuichi Shibata. Established Shibakatsu-en Kiln in 1977. Previously primarily used press molding, but in recent years has shifted to primarily handmade pieces using slab and press molding techniques. Produces a wide range of pots, from unglazed ones in Tokoname vermillion clay, Tokoname purple clay, and grey clay, to glazed ones, with a rich variety of colors and shapes.
